The Plano Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a variety of preliminary plat, preliminary site plans and replat agenda items at the Dec. 19 regular meeting. Here are five things to know about last night's meeting:
  1. Granite Park: Commissioners approved the replat of 10 acres to “abandon and dedicate easements necessary for the completion of the restaurant development [The Boardwalk at Granite Park],” according to city documents. Also approved was the replat of 3.7 acres on the southwest side of the Boardwalk and 8.3 acres on the northeast side of the Boardwalk to dedicate an off-site parking easement, according to city documents.
  2. Medical Offices: Commissioners approved preliminary site plans for medical offices on 4 acres on the northeast side of Preston Road and Spring Creek Parkway.
  3. Icon at Legacy West: A replat of Icon at Legacy West, 127 single-family residence lots and 12 common area lots on 12.2 acres at the southwest corner of Communications Parkway and Headquarters drive was approved.
  4. Hotel: A preliminary plat for a hotel on 3.7 acres on the southeast corner of Tennyson and Communications parkways was approved.
  5. Two mini warehouses or public storage: Also approved includes a mini warehouse or public storage unit on 2.3 acres at the northeast corner of McDermott Road and Independence Parkway, and a mini warehouse or public storage unit on 3.1 acres on the south side of Tennyson Parkway near Corporate Drive.
