Niche, a website that provides rankings and statistics on neighborhoods and schools, ranked Eanes ISD as the best school district in Texas and the 17
th best district nationally.
“Eanes ISD and all nine [of its schools] nabbed top state and national rankings [and] the district capturing the number one spot in the state for the third consecutive year,” EISD Communication Director Claudia McWhorter said in a news release. “Valley View Elementary took the top slot in the state for elementary schools, while West Ridge Middle School ranked first for middle schools. All Eanes ISD schools were ranked in the top six in the state.”
According to Niche’s rankings:
- Valley View Elementary School ranked first in the state and 36th nationally;
- West Ridge Middle School ranked first in the state and ninth nationally;
- Forest Trail Elementary School ranked second in the state and 37th nationally;
- Barton Creek Elementary School ranked third in the state and 38th nationally;
- Hill Country Middle School ranked third in the state and 26th nationally;
- Cedar Creek Elementary School ranked fourth in the state and 46th nationally;
- Westlake High School ranked fourth in the state and 59th nationally;
- Bridge Point Elementary School ranked fifth in the state and 69th nationally; and
- Eanes Elementary School ranked sixth in the state and 84th nationally.
Niche measures schools and districts based on the entire school experience, including academics, teachers, diversity, student life, and student outcomes, the release stated.
