This morning, city officials announced this year's Budafest was cancelled because of the expected rain over the weekend.
Planned for Dec. 3-4, Budafest is known for its Christmas parade, carnival and shopping with over 125 artisans selling handcrafted jewelry, candles, holiday decorations, food and more. This year's celebration will not be rescheduled.
City officials said they have not decided whether the corresponding carnival at City Park will still take place.
The planned road closures over the weekend will also not be implemented, according to a release.
