The City of Austin is asking artists to submit creative proposals for what activities should take place during Austin's New Year Eve celebrations.

Dec. 31 will mark the fifth family-friendly community celebration hosted by the city. This year's events will take place at Butler Park, 1000 Barton Springs Road.

Austin-area artists or organizations can submit one-page proposals on what activities should take place this year, including but not limited to musical acts, temporary interactive art installations, fire dancers and jugglers.

The proposed activities must be accomplished with a maximum budget of $3,000 provided by the city. Submissions can be made online until Oct. 14.
