Eleven-time Austin Music Award winners Quiet Company will have a live-stream of their August 16 performance available through Orb Recording Studio.
The stream is Orb Recording Studio's kickoff to the "The Orb Session from Studio A" series. Quiet Company's performance at 9 p.m. will be performed privately in front of members from Austin nonprofit Black Fret.
The indie band will play never-before-heard tracks from its recently completed album "Trangressor" that is set to release this fall, according to the band's website.
The album was recorded at Orb Recording Studios and produced by Matt Novesky, the studio's co-owner and member of Blue October.
"Producing Quiet Company's "Transgressor" was not only an honor, but was a lot of fun to make," Noveskey said in a written statement. "Orb provided the perfect experience to make an epic full-length album with the artists playing together live as only a truly talented tight-knit band can do. I can't think of a better way we could have gotten things started at the studio this year."
The opportunity to watch the performance is unique because Black Fret's members pay $1,500 per year to attend such performances.
"When Quiet Company and Orb came to us about hosting an event for our Black Fret members we jumped at the chance," said Matt Ott, co-founder of Black Fret. "Black Fret creates cool, intimate music experiences for our members and Orb is nothing if not cool and intimate. The vibe here is incredible and our members are in for an amazing experience to be this up close and personal to the band in the environment in which the music was created. And we are really excited that this experience will be shared with the world via the live stream."
