Voters in Grapevine, Carroll ISD and Westlake will have decisions to make on May 11.
In Grapevine, a charter election will be conducted to decide whether the mayor and council should have term limits. No term limits are in place now. A citizen petition was filed requesting the election.
On the Grapevine council, Place 4 incumbent Darlene Freed faces Marc Blum. Mike Lease, Place 3 incumbent, will run against Leon Leal.
Races emerged in the Carroll ISD after incumbents Sherri Williams, Place 6 and John Thane, Place 7, decided not to seek re-election. Matt Kormann and Sam Torolopoulos are running for Williams' position.
Candidates Chris Archer and James Palazzo all are running for Thane's seat. Bob Kemins filed but withdrew.
In Southlake, council members Jeff Wang and Al Zito are not running for re-election. Randy Williamson filed for Place 4 and Laura Hill filed for Place 5. Incumbent Brandon Bledsoe is running unopposed for Place 3.
Colleyville called off its election because all candidates are unopposed. Mayor David Kelly and Place 1 council member Carolyn Wollin will stay in office. Chuck Mogged Jr., will take the council Place 2 seat held by Michael Muhm, who did not seek re-election.
In Westlake, five candidates have filed for three open seats on the Town Council. They are: incumbents Carol Langdon and Rick Rennhack, Michael Crowe, Greg Goble and Wayne Stoltenberg.
Candidate Gregg Malone is running against council member Michael Barrett in a separate, special election to finish a one-year term.
In the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District, incumbents Karen Deakin, Place 3 and Lisa Pardo, Place 4 have no opposition.
