What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?

I served as vice president over safety and security of the Humble Rodeo for many, where I worked directly with the Humble ISD Foundation. That role required coordination with educational leaders, budgeting, event planning, and community outreach—all of which translate well to the responsibilities of a school board member.

NCISD is a growing district. What sort of needs do you think accompany a growing school district and how are you prepared to meet those needs?

As a board member, I would support strategic multiyear bond planning, aligned with accurate demographic forecasting. Transparent and frequent communication with the community about capacity needs and timelines. Working closely with planners and developers to anticipate new growth and align resources accordingly before capacity is exceeded.

What will your attitude toward budgeting be pertaining to balancing the district’s needs with being responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars?

My attitude toward budgeting is grounded in two priorities: putting students first while being a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars. Every dollar we spend should have a clear purpose, whether it's improving academic outcomes, supporting teachers, or ensuring our schools are safe and equipped to handle growth.

How are you prepared to help the district navigate any potential challenges that arise in the future due to growing alternative education options in the region such as charter schools, virtual schools, private schools and home schooling?

To meet that challenge, I would support long-term planning for school expansion, hiring and retaining qualified staff, and ensuring we’re using our budget efficiently and transparently. We also need to invest in infrastructure, technology, and classroom resources that grow with our student population.

What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?

I have over thirteen years of experience working at an international organization, where I have collaborated with diverse individuals, assessed situations and developed effective solutions. Additionally, as a parent of four children with different learning styles, I recognize the importance of students' individual educational needs.

Parent/guardian and community involvement are imperative as the district grows. I will work with the board of trustees to continue broadening the lines of communication, ensuring we meet the needs of those in our district and community.

Budgeting should balance the needs of our district and the responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. I will focus on funding that directly supports student learning and growth, while maintaining transparency and accountability in our district’s finances.

How are you prepared to help the district navigate any potential challenges that arise in the future due to growing alternative education options in the region, such as charter schools, virtual schools, private schools and homeschooling?

I understand families’ choices and the growth of alternative education. Parents and guardians should feel heard and know their concerns matter. I will work to find solutions as issues arise, so families feel supported without needing to leave public education.

I bring strong community values, leadership as a local business owner, and a deep commitment to supporting quality education. I aim to guide our district through rapid growth with transparency, fiscal responsibility and a focus on student success while maintaining the integrity of our schools.
