Three Brothers Bakery celebrates its 70th anniversary May 8. The bakery was founded in 1949 when twin brothers Sigmund and Sol Jucker and their younger brother Max Jucker opened up shop on Holman Street, and the family’s baking heritage goes back to at least the 19th century. The shop will celebrate by offering customers free birthday cake at 4 p.m. at its Braeswood location, while supplies last. Today, three locations are in operation, including 4036 S. Braeswood Blvd., Houston, which opened in 1960, and 4606 Washington Ave., Houston, which opened 2014. 713-666-2253.
