Amenities suitable for a wide range of ability levels to be added to Richardson's Cottonwood Park
A conceptual rendering shows what the Cottonwood Park playground could look like when the inclusive amenities are completed.
The Inclusive Playground project, spearheaded by the city of Richardson and the Richardson East Rotary Club, will expand the Cottonwood Park playground, located at 1301 W. Belt Line Road, Richardson, by adding inclusive amenities, such as ramps, specialized rubber surfacing and specially designed play equipment for users of all ability levels. Funded through a combination of grants, community support, and corporate and philanthropic donations, the city aims to break ground on the project in 2019. 972-744-4300. www.cor.net/departments/parks-recreation/parks-trails/inclusive-playground
