Plano Super Bowl held a ribbon-cutting event Oct. 27 marking the completion of its $2.7 million interior renovation project.
The entertainment venue, located at 2521 K Ave., Plano, opened as a modest bowling alley in 1985. Today, Plano Super Bowl is a hybrid between a conventional bowling center and the new trend of family entertainment centers, owner Jamie Brooks said.
Improvements include the addition of seven private lanes, a VIP room for parties and a new cafe called Scratch Kitchen.
Is eatery also features a wood-fired pizza oven. Its new bar, The Draft House, also features 24 different beers on tap. Work is still being done in the new VIP room but the space is expected to be open by the end of the year.
The exterior is also being repainted and new lighting and signage will also be added by the end of the year.
