Update June 7: Pitchfork Pretty officially opens tomorrow, June 8, with breakfast service starting at 7 a.m.

It will serve bagels, juice, coffee and breakfast sandwiches, and breakfast hours will run Mon.-Fri. from 7-10:30 a.m.

The restaurant officially starts dinner service next Wednesday, June 14.




Previously: Pitchfork Pretty, 2708 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, will open in March. The restaurant will provide simple, seasonal open-fire cuisine with old-world cooking methods and a full bar.

Austin native Max Snyder was named executive chef Feb. 8. Snyder is returning to Austin after spending more than 10 years working in San Francisco and New York restaurants. He said in a news release he would focus on seasonal ingredients, nutrition and balance.

Alexander Dubey, formerly the general manager of Otoko, was named general manager of Pitchfork Pretty on Feb. 8. Dubey also helped open Apis Restaurant & Apiary in Spicewood.  www.pitchforkpretty.com
