Emancipet opened Jan. 11 a new low-cost veterinary clinic at 1030 Norwood Park Blvd., Ste. 316, Austin. The nonprofit provides affordable veterinary care and served nearly 100,000 pets in the Austin area last year. “This new clinic represents the future of Emancipet,” CEO Amy Mills said. “This is our first purpose-built clinic; the largest, most efficient and offering the most amenities for our clients. It will be a model for all of our new clinics going forward.” At 3,900 square feet, the clinic is the organization's largest with six exam rooms and a three-table surgical suite as well as digital X-ray, dental X-ray and blood-analysis machines. Emancipet offers $5 wellness exams and $15 vaccinations, flea and heartworm prevention, and microchipping. The new clinic is Emancipet's third location and replaces its Cameron Road site. www.emancipet.org. 512-587-7729
