Sears closed its two Austin locations—at 2901 S. Capital of Texas Hwy. in Barton Creek Square Mall and at 1000 E. 41st St. in the Hancock Center—at the end of 2018.

The closings were among at least 142 that were announced along with the company's bankruptcy filing Oct. 15.
