South by Southwest Conference & Festivals announced Nov. 22 it is breaking ground this summer on its new headquarters, located at 1400 Lavaca St., Austin. SXSW will occupy the top three floors of the 12-story building, which is being developed by Greenbelt Commercial and designed by Gensler. SXSW CEO Roland Swenson said the new headquarters is being constructed to consolidate all the departments under one roof. The building will open in late 2019. www.sxsw.com
