How will you ensure your constituents can access affordable housing?
I would work to ensure that the affordable housing that is currently available is offered to American citizens first.
What would your top priorities be if elected?
Ensuring the students in the district all have access to a quality education; working with our police and community on ways to decrease criminal activity and increase the safety and security for small businesses, residents and schools; being the voice for Veteran's rights to quality healthcare, accessible housing and workforce development.
How do you plan to involve residents in the decision-making process?
I plan to invite the residents to quarterly town halls in different areas of the district so that we can sit down 'together' to discuss the issues they are facing and work together to create solutions. I want to ensure that I hear their needs and then work with them on creative solutions.
What are your priorities for the future of Texas education?
School choice which returns the power to parents to pick the best school for their child(ren) and continuing funds for the school voucher program. Also investing in trade schools and life skill classes in high schools (wood shop, cosmetology, etc.) which will give students options for great paying jobs without the high cost of attending a 4-year college.
How will you ensure your constituents receive the appropriate aid after natural disasters?
I would be proactive and reach out to the Harris County Judge prior to any natural disaster to ensure that the appropriate agencies (FEMA, etc) have been contacted and that they have enough resources on hand to provide for all the residents. I would keep in touch with the Judge and post where any disaster relief info is available.
