Q&A: Meet the candidates for Fort Worth City Council's District 4

Why are you running for office?

Fort Worth has too much at stake. Just one bad policy decision could undo decades of progress. We need leaders willing to make bold decisions based on facts, not feelings. Put simply, I'm a fighter, while also recognizing the need to work together towards the common good.

What are the biggest challenges facing the city?

Infrastructure and public safety are probably the two biggest challenges we face. Fort Worth is experiencing unprecedented growth. We must find the balance between responsible development, while ensuring the basic city services are being provided to our residents and current infrastructure is maintained.

How do you plan to address these issues?

As the Chair of the Public Safety Committee, I will ensure we are not only fully funding our police & fire, I will also work with County and State officials in ensuring everyone is playing their part. For infrastructure, I will ensure we utilize every tax dollar responsibly.

What would your top priorities be if you are elected?

Ensuring public safety is number one priority, improving quality of life for the residents of District 4, and ensuring we have a voice when it comes to capital improvement projects and infrastructure maintenance. I will also ensure we are good stewards of the tax dollars with which we are trusted.

Why are you running for office?

I believe our residents deserve a representative with integrity and accountability. My goal is to ensure our community remains a place we are all proud to call home—safe, thriving, and built for future generations.

What are the biggest challenges facing the city?

We must prevent tax increases for special interest projects, including the movie industry, and prioritize eliminating wasteful spending. Public safety must remain a top priority to keep our neighborhoods safe and family-friendly. Investing in community-based programs and resources will be essential to addressing homelessness and ensuring financial stability for future generations.

How do you plan to address these issues?

I will strengthen public safety, improve roads, and support local businesses by cutting red tape and keeping taxes low. By listening to residents and working with elected leaders, I’ll ensure District 4 thrives while protecting the values that make Fort Worth our home.

What would your top priorities be if you are elected?

My top priorities are safer neighborhoods, better infrastructure, and a stronger local economy. I’ll advocate for fully funded first responders, improved roads, and business-friendly policies that create opportunities. Most importantly, I’ll work to keep Fort Worth a place where families can grow and succeed.
