Houston Methodist West Hospital will welcome Carl Little, who currently serves as CEO and senior vice president of Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital, as its next Katy-area CEO.
Little will replace outgoing CEO Wayne Voss, who is retiring after nearly two decades of service, according to a Jan. 29 news release.
The details
Little has spent over a decade rising through the ranks of Houston Methodist, previously serving as an administrator in the Houston Methodist Physician Organization, a hospital director of business development, as well as a vice president and chief operating officer at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, per the release.
His credentials include a Master of Science in health care administration and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Trinity University.

Little thanked his colleagues on his promotion and his predecessor for the strong foundation on which he said he is excited to help grow.

Marc L. Boom, president and CEO of Houston Methodist, said Little is the “perfect fit” for the role as he returns home to the Katy area.
“I can’t wait to see all he’ll accomplish in his new role, as he will help us continue to provide the same high level of service those in the growing west Houston community expect from us,” Boom said in the release.
What’s next?
Little will begin his new role in April as the hospital system conducts a search to fill his previous role of CEO at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital, per the release.
