The Montgomery County Memorial Library System has launched a new temporary online library card system, according to a July 1 news release.

Online library cards will allow residents one year's worth of access to online services that the library system has recently made available due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“The new online access card will make it possible for these residents to gain access to the wonderful online resources that our library system has to offer,” said Jerilynn Williams, library director of the Montgomery County Memorial Library System, in a statement.

Texas residents who are interested in applying for an online library card can do so by clicking

Montgomery County Memorial Library System also offers virtual programs for readers of all ages through its Facebook page.
