All children age 18 and younger can receive free meals from Magnolia ISD beginning March 17, district officials announced March 13. The announcement comes after the district canceled classes scheduled for March 16-20 to help limit the spread of coronavirus in Montgomery County.
The free meals will be provided curbside at Magnolia and Smith elementary schools from 9-11 a.m. March 17-20, according to district information. Children must be present in the car to receive the meals. Each child will receive one breakfast and one lunch to go.
Drivers can form a car-rider line in back of each school where the buses normally drop off students. Employees will deliver the meals to each car, according to district information.
