Conroe Americana Music Festival
More than 50 bands from a wide range of musical genres will take the stage at six downtown Conroe venues May 5-7 during the inaugural Conroe Americana Music Festival. The festival will feature performances by names such as Bart Crow, Carolyn Wonderland, The Dirty River Boys and Folk Family Revival. One-day tickets are available for $35 each (Friday and Sunday), $50 (Saturday). Weekend passes are available for $75. Katy Wild West Brew Fest
The annual craft beer festival features more than 500 beers from breweries from over 80 breweries from around the county. General admission tickets include 12 2-ounce samples, with additional sample cards available for purchase. Middlelands Festival
The inaugural music and camping festival features a medieval theme for guests age 18 and older. The VIP section is open to guests age 21 and older. Presented by Insomniac and C3 Presents, the three-day, four-night festival includes a medieval theme with five music stages, rides, art and various performers. 3 p.m.-1 a.m. Cost varies. Japan Festival Houston
The Japan-America Society of Houston hosts the annual festival in downtown Houston's Hermann Park. The event features shopping art, food and live music and performances.
