Several lane closures are scheduled Oct. 7 for the Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas 10-mile road race, 3.1 Armadillo Run 5K and One 4 Texas Kids’ Fun Run.

Nearly 1,100 registered participants will take part in the race, which ends at Northshore Park.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office will oversee closing and reopening lanes on streets during the race, and officers will be stationed at intersections, according to a township news release.

According to the release, the inside lanes of the following streets will be closed from 6-10:30 a.m.:
  • Lake Woodlands Drive westbound from Lakeside Boulevard to Golden Sage Drive
  • Lake Woodlands Drive eastbound from Golden Sage Drive to Windward Cove
In addition, these areas will be closed from 6-10:30 a.m.:
  • Lake Woodlands eastbound from East Panther Creek to Lake Front Circle; residents of Windward Cove will be permitted neighborhood access; all other traffic will be detoured to Woodlands Parkway.
  • Lake Woodlands Bridge eastbound lanes from Lakeside Boulevard to Lake Front Circle
