Gosling Road bridge widening

Work on a new bridge is underway over Spring Creek as part of a 14- to 15-month project to widen Gosling Road to four lanes between Creekside Forest Drive and Gatewood Reserve Lane. The project is a joint effort between Montgomery County Precinct 3 and Harris County Precinct 3. According to Montgomery County Precinct 3, rain in August and September forced the contractor to reschedule concrete pours for the bridge deck, and that work was expected to restart in September. The project will create two 12-foot lanes in each direction as well as the two additional lanes for a 1,817-foot bridge over Spring Creek. The project is the last budgeted project from the 2015 road bond.

3. Hwy. 242 overpass


The project will construct a grade separation along Hwy. 242 from west to east of FM 1314. This is one of four projects to construct an overpass at Hwy. 242 and FM 1314. The project was 93% complete as of an October report.

Crack sealing on Grogans Mill Road


A project to seal cracks on the northbound outside shoulder of Grogans Mill Road was underway in September, according to Montgomery County Precinct 3. The contractor Lone Star Pavement Services planned to continue the work on the lanes and inside shoulder of the road between Sawdust Road and Woodlands Parkway.

Robinson Road tree clearing


According to the city of Oak Ridge North, tree clearing began in early September to launch the first phase of its $6 million project to widen Robinson Road and align the intersection with Hanna Road. The tree clearing and stump removal were expected to be a 30-day project, according to information from the city.
