Residents and commuters in The Woodlands area may notice several trucks and a large crane near The Woodlands Mall as crews work to remove the longtime Waterway cruisers from the lower canals of The Woodlands Waterway. Township officials announced in early 2018 they would remove the cruisers following damage sustained from Hurricane Harvey. Florida-based company MGSIII Maritime was approved as the contractor to remove the boats in August. The township is still working to find a replacement for the cruisers and submitted a request for proposals for companies interested in providing a new concept for the area. The matter is expected to be discussed at the Nov. 14 meeting of The Woodlands Convention and Visitor's Bureau. Read more in the CVB's agenda here.
