Bar Louie in The Woodlands remains open for business following the announcement of the Addison-based company's Chapter 11 bankruptcy sale and closure of several eateries nationwide. The Woodlands restaurant, located at 24 Waterway Ave., confirmed it will not be affected by the corporate bankruptcy process announced Jan. 27.

"Bar Louie is a profitable business focused on long-term growth with new investors. The sale through Chapter 11 will help us to focus on our profitable core locations and expand in areas that have a proven track record of success," said Tom Fricke, Bar Louie's chief executive officer, in a statement.

Bar Louie on The Woodlands Waterway is one of more than 90 of the franchise's restaurants that will remain in business during the company's Chapter 11 process estimated to be complete within three months. In its January statement, Bar Louie said that process is not expected to influence the chain's day-to-day operations.

Bar Louie offers a range of food items for brunch, lunch and dinner in addition to beer, wine and cocktails with daily happy hour specials. 281-909-3300. www.barlouie.com
