Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital opened an emergency care center at the corner of FM 1448 and Kuykendahl Road in The Woodlands on Sept. 11.

The new 24-hour emergency center features eight large private rooms, a designated ambulance entrance and free parking. Board-certified emergency medicine doctors are on staff to treat patients of all ages for minor emergencies to life threatening ones.

Medical Director Jason Knight said the facility will still high quality care, much like a full-sized hospital.

“At the new emergency care center, patients will be able to receive the same high quality, personalized emergency care that they receive at any other Houston Methodist hospital,” Knight said. “We have a dedicated CT scanner, full X-ray capability and ultrasound, as well as access to top-notch consultants in The Woodlands area.”

The emergency center’s affiliation with Houston Methodist The Woodlands provides expedited admissions and transfers to the hospital, as well as additional diagnostic testing and procedures, Knight said.
