The Woodlands Young Learners Academy marked its 15th anniversary with celebrations in December, when an art bench underwritten by the academy, Critter Creature, was dedicated at Northshore Park. The art bench, part of The Woodlands Arts Council's public art project, was created by Jake Heffington and Emily Fielder and depicts a happy caterpillar that children can play on.
The background
The private preschool features specialty enrichment classes, computer, music, library, gym and a science lab. It serves children 18 months old through kindergarten age and also features an afterschool program and summer camp with programs for children up to age 12.
