Conroe ISD will partner with the Montgomery County Food Bank to host a donation drive for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts Friday.
The donation drives will take place at Buddy Moorhead Stadium, 3200 W. Davis Street, Conroe, and Woodforest Bank Stadium, 19115 David Memorial Drive, Shenandoah, Sept. 1 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Both locations will be accepting personal care items, cleaning supplies and non-perishable food items.
CISD employees will be volunteering at both sites to collect the donations.
“We’re encouraging everyone [to participate],” CISD Superintendent Don Stockton said. “We did a call out to all of our families in CISD last night and we’re going to do another one tonight. For anyone in the community who wants to donate, we will have CISD volunteers onsite to collect those items and we hope to fill the food bank for months to come.”
Stockton said future relief efforts conducted by CISD will be determined once school is back in session, Sept. 5.
