Montgomery County added a total of 2,935 COVID-19 cases throughout April, though the county's daily count has dropped to numbers similar to those seen in September 2020.

According to the Montgomery County Public Health District, the county's total number of coronavirus cases was 52,540 on April 30, up from 49,605 on April 1. As of April 30, the number of active cases in the county is 1,578.
Of the total coronavirus cases, more than half have recovered. As of April 30, 27,702 were reported by the county to have recovered.
The number of coronavirus cases being treated in area hospitals decreased by nearly half throughout the month. As of April 1, there were 111 patients in the hospital suspected and confirmed to have coronavirus, which dropped to 61 as of April 30.
Throughout the month, the number of patients being treated for COVID-19 in intensive care decreased from 36 on April 1 to 27 on April 30. The low for the month was recorded April 12 at 21.
The county added five to its death toll from coronavirus April 30, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 288.
