Fleming—who has extensive leadership experience from within the Houston Methodist hospital system—will officially assume the role April 21, per the release.
The overview
In her new position, Fleming will work to focus on the hospital's ANCC Magnet Program, which is meant to attract and retain quality nursing staff. She will also strengthen quality and safety initiatives, enhance physician-nursing collaboration and continue driving advancements in patient care, per the release.
Fleming said in a statement she is honored to lead the nursing team at Houston Methodist Sugar Land, and credits her over 10 years of experience within the hospital system for equipping her for the role.

Career history
Fleming formerly served as the associate chief nursing officer at Houston Methodist The Woodlands hospital since 2019, per the release. Prior to this role, she spent five years at Houston Methodist West Hospital in the Katy area.
In addition to her part in overseeing two hospital expansions that guided growth from 64 to 296 beds, Fleming has also contributed to advancements in the hospital's nursing practice, patient safety and quality care initiatives, per the release.
