Sarah Fleming has been appointed Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital's new chief nursing officer, according to a March 6 news release.
Fleming—who has extensive leadership experience from within the Houston Methodist hospital system—will officially assume the role April 21, per the release.
The overview
In her new position, Fleming will work to focus on the hospital's ANCC Magnet Program, which is meant to attract and retain quality nursing staff. She will also strengthen quality and safety initiatives, enhance physician-nursing collaboration and continue driving advancements in patient care, per the release.
