New program or procedure: The hospital is expanding its lung nodule screening services and focusing on advancing early detection initiatives. The goal is to raise awareness of early detection so patients can take control of their lung health.
New program or procedure: Dedicated to helping people with heartburn, the hospital offers comprehensive evaluations and treatments, combined with the latest in diagnostic tools and personalized service.
New program or procedure: In September, the hospital earned its first trauma designation by the Texas Department of State Health Services. This means staff can stabilize all major and severe trauma patients 24/7.
Kelly joined Community Impact Newspaper as a reporter in June 2017 after majoring in print journalism and creative writing at the University of Houston. In March 2019, she transitioned to editor for the Lake Houston-Humble-Kingwood edition and began covering the Spring and Klein area as well in August 2020. In June 2021, Kelly was promoted to South Houston managing editor.
A resident of the Houston area since 2011, Vanessa began working in community journalism in her home state of New Jersey after receiving an English degree from Drew University. She joined Community Impact in 2016 as a reporter for the Spring-Klein edition and became editor of that paper in March 2017 and editor of The Woodlands edition in January 2019. She received a master's degree in English in 2024.
Hannah joined Community Impact as a reporter in May 2016 and is the editor of the Spring-Klein and Lake Houston-Humble-Kingwood editions. She previously covered city government, education and business news as a reporter for The Woodlands edition prior to becoming an editor in 2019. A lifelong Houstonian, Hannah attended Cy-Fair ISD schools and graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in multiplatform journalism.
