Ouderkirk and Bogany were the top two candidates from the Nov. 5 general election, where the candidates faced three others. In the general election, Ouderkirk and Bogany garnered 34.98% and 23.23% of the votes, respectively, Community Impact reported.
By the numbers
Data shows 1,170 voters cast ballots during the runoff election, which accounts for 7.1% of the 16,471 registered voters in District C. The district includes the west and south sides of Missouri City.
About the candidate
Ouderkirk, a real estate agent, will replace outgoing council member Anthony Maroulis, who didn’t seek re-election. Ouderkirk’s top priority once in office is addressing aging infrastructure and easing traffic flow, she said in a Q&A with Community Impact.
