Several things are going on in Sugar Land and Missouri City this week, March 12-18.

1) Fort Bend ISD is closed this week for Spring Break, March 12-16. The next regular board of trustees meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. March 26.

2) The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo wraps up this week. 3) Fort Bend County Commissioners Court meets at 1 p.m. Tuesday at 401 Jackson St., Richmond. Agenda items include a workshop from the Office of Emergency Management regarding a summary of Hurricane Harvey damage and a review of actions that have been taken and are underway six months post-Harvey. The commissioners will also discuss a behavioral health services resolution in support of the "Stepping Up" initiative by the National Association of Counties to reduce the number of people with mental illness in county jails. 4) The Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals meet from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at The Middle Spoon, 15911 City Walk. Registration includes two drink tickets and complimentary appetizers. 5) Kick off St. Patrick's Day celebrations early as the Exchange Club of Missouri City hosts its 38th annual St. Patrick's Day Charity Golf Scramble on Friday at the Quail Valley Golf Course, 2880 La Quinta Drive, Missouri City. The driving range opens and registration begins at 10:30 a.m. Lunch is served at 11 a.m., and the awards and dinner with a live and silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. Click here for more information.
