Veterinary Emergency Group will offer 24/7 care for animal friends at its newest clinic in Sugar Land.

The details

Residents in the Sugar Land area can expect Veterinary Emergency Group, or VEG, to provide a range of emergency medicine, such as surgeries, ultrasounds and X-rays, VEG Hospital Manager Leroy Ramirez said in an email.

Licensed veterinarians will always be available for pet emergencies, even on holidays, Ramirez said. He said some ways the clinic will be different from other options include:
  • Vets answer the phones to respond to medical questions
  • Care begins on pet patients when they come in the door, rather than after pet owners fill out paperwork
  • Pet owners can stay with their pet through all treatment stages, including surgery and overnight stays
