Smoothie King, an international smoothie and health lifestyle chain, is coming to Sugar Land later this year in the University Commons shopping center.

Construction on the project has started and will finish in November, said Dana Garnett, senior vice president of development for Houston-based Vista Equities Group, the developer of University Commons.

Smoothie King has over 130 locations in Texas and has over 1,300 locations worldwide, according to its website. Its menu includes smoothies, smoothie bowls, blended coffee drinks and protein shakes.
