The Missouri City Walmart Supercenter at 9929 Hwy. 6, celebrated a grand reopening July 13.

The reopening ceremony was co-hosted by the Missouri City mayor's office, the Fort Bend County constables, the Fort Bend County Fire Department and the Ridge Point High School volleyball team. Attendees witnessed the unveiling of a new Missouri City-themed mural during the event.

In addition, the community received charitable contributions totaling $8,000. These donations were extended to the Houston Knanaya Catholic Society and the Fort Bend Broncos—a local youth football team.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the media received an invitation to preview the new Supercenter features, which include:
  • Additional building for online pickup
  • New cash registers and self-checkout area
  • Updated beer and wine section
  • New signage
  • Upgraded apparel apartment with expanded selection and exclusive brands
