Mother's Day at the Park — Tea & Targets
The George Ranch Historical Park is celebrating Mother's Day with Texan charm: crafts, cooking and firearms. General admission to the park Saturday includes a ticket for the 1830s Target Practice (11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.), The Art of Cooking and Victorian Crafts. The Art of Blacksmithing takes place at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. Reservations are required, $10.
A Mother's Day Victorian Luncheon—including tea—will also take place at 12:30-1:30 p.m. and is recommended for ages 7 and older. Reservations are required and space is limited. The one-, two- or three-day program takes children to chapel once each week and offers weekly Spanish instruction for children age 3 and older. All children in the program have music time, while visitors from law enforcement, fire and rescue, and medical fields, among others, will meet with children on occasion.
