A project to ease traffic congestion along Hwy. 249 by reversing northbound entrance and exit ramps between Jones and Spring Cypress roads will take longer than originally anticipated as a result of inclement weather, said Danny Perez, public information officer for the Texas Department of Transportation. The project was expected to be complete in mid-July; however, Perez said ramps are now set to reopen in August. Remaining actions include guardrail installation, new signage and removal of the temporary concrete barriers.

Timeline: April 20-August

Cost: $2.6 million
