As of Aug. 3, 3,337 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed across nine Spring- and Klein-area ZIP codes, according to data reported by Harris County Public Health. This number has increased by 69 cases since Aug. 2 and includes 1,161 active cases, 2,138 recoveries and 38 deaths.
Since July 10, the 77090 ZIP code has reported a total of five deaths from COVID-19, however July 21 data reported one less death. Community Impact Newspaper has reached out to Harris County Public Health and the City of Houston Health Department on why the 77090 ZIP code has one less death than what was reported prior to July 21.
As of Aug. 3, Harris County Public Health reported a total of 78,105 confirmed cases in Harris County–including 32,426 active cases, 44,912 recoveries and 766 deaths. Comprehensive data for Harris County can be found here.
