Eat Drink HTX, a two-week event in which participating restaurants offer lower price points for prix fixe brunch, lunch and dinner menus, began Feb. 15 with four participating restaurants in the Spring and Klein area.
Nonprofit Cleverley Stone Foundation is running the event, which will end on Feb. 28. Proceeds from the event will benefit nonprofits the Houston Food Bank and Star of Hope Mission.
Participating restaurants will make donations based on their sales, with $1 of every $15 meal, $2 of every $20 meal and $3 of every $25 meal going to the nonprofits, according to Katie Stone—daughter of Cleverley Stone, the founder and namesake of the Cleverley Stone Foundation.
“My mother knew and supported the mission of Star of Hope for many years,” Katie Stone said in a statement. “We feel the work they do, specifically helping to feed and take care of women and children, is so important and empowering.”
The organization also annually holds Houston Restaurant Weeks, which benefits the Houston Food Bank.
Four restaurants from the Spring and Klein area are participating in the event, though the list will continue to be updated as more restaurants join.
