Regular readers of this paper may notice a change of byline on this page. This issue marks my first as editor for Community Impact Newspaper’s Spring and Klein edition. My predecessor, Vanessa Holt, was recently promoted to editor of Community Impact Newspaper’s The Woodlands edition. Although new to this position, I am no stranger to the area. I grew up attending Cy-Fair ISD schools and graduated from Cy Creek High School in 2012. In May 2016, I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and a minor in political science. Shortly after, I was hired as a reporter for Community Impact Newspaper’s The Woodlands edition, where I have served the communities of Shenandoah, Oak Ridge North and The Woodlands since. Today, I call the Spring and Klein community my home. As editor, I am excited to learn more about the area, and I look forward to helping residents stay informed.
