With all 700 Harris County polling centers reporting, incumbents Carmen Correa and Natasha McDaniel have won the races for the Spring ISD board of trustees positions 6 and 7.

According to voting results reported by the Harris County Clerk's Office, Correa grabbed the lead from challenger Patricia A. Bourgeois—who led with early voting totals—in the race for Position 6 with 19,604 votes, while Bourgeois received 19,011 votes.

"I am deeply honored to have been re-elected to serve my SISD community once again," Correa said in a Nov. 6 emailed statement. "I am thankful to everyone who supported me along the way and to the community for placing your trust in me to continue the work of building a strong, supportive, and equitable environment for every student. I look forward to building on this foundation, advocating for equitable funding, and ensuring our district provides the best possible education for all."


Meanwhile, McDaniel maintained her lead in the race for Position 7 with 26,010 votes, while challenger Adan Ibarra received 12,235 votes.

"This victory is a testament to our shared commitment to improving educational experiences and outcomes for our SISD students," McDaniel said in a Nov. 6 emailed statement. "Last night, the people of [SISD] honored me with the privilege to continue representing our community—ensuring that an educator’s voice remains at the table, advocating for the education our children deserve. I am grateful and humbled by your support."

According to voting results reported by the Harris County Clerk's Office, Correa has grabbed the lead from challenger Patricia A. Bourgeois—who led with early voting totals—in the race for Position 6 with 19,482 votes, while Bourgeois has received 18,933 votes. Meanwhile, McDaniel maintains the lead in the race for Position 7 with 25,905 votes, while challenger Adan Ibarra has received 12,144 votes.

With 12 Harris County voting centers reporting, results for the Spring ISD board of trustees races for positions 6 and 7 remain largely the same compared to early voting numbers.

Two positions on the SISD board of trustees are up for grabs in the Nov. 5 general election. Incumbents Carmen Correa and Natasha McDaniel—who hold positions 6 and 7, respectively—are facing challengers Patricia A. Bourgeois and Adan Ibarra, respectively. Both incumbents were appointed to fill vacancies on the board in August 2021 before running unopposed and being elected to their respective positions in November 2021.

According to voting results reported by the Harris County Clerk's Office, Bourgeois maintains the lead in the race for Position 6 with 14,725 votes, while Correa has received 13,970 votes. Meanwhile, McDaniel has taken the lead in the race for Position 7 with 19,871 votes, while Ibarra has received 8,645 votes.

According to early and absentee voting results reported by the Harris County Clerk's Office, Bourgeois has taken the lead in the race for Position 6 with 14,714 votes, while Correa has received 13,965 votes. Meanwhile, McDaniel has taken the lead in the race for Position 7 with 19,862 votes, while Ibarra has received 8,638 votes.

Some context

Each of SISD's seven trustees is elected to an at-large position for three years in a nonpartisan election, according to board policy posted on the district's website. Positions 1, 2 and 3 will be up for election in 2025, while positions 4 and 5 will be up for election in 2026.
