Why are you running for this position?

I’m running to continue serving the people of Senate District 4 with experienced, conservative leadership. After nearly two decades protecting public safety as District Attorney, I bring that same passion for our community to fight for taxpayers, strengthen border security, improve flood mitigation, and defend the values that make Texas strong.

How will you ensure your constituents can access affordable housing?

Housing affordability means addressing the total cost of homeownership. I will continue fighting to lower property taxes and homeowners insurance rates. Texans should not be priced out of their homes by rising costs. I am already working on solutions to make our insurance market more competitive and affordable.

How will you ensure your constituents receive the appropriate aid after natural disasters?

Disaster response requires strong relationships before disaster strikes. I will maintain close partnerships with local, state, and federal leaders while relying on the experienced team I have already assembled. Together, my team brings decades of public service and strong community relationships, prepared to connect constituents with resources and advocate for assistance.

What are the biggest challenges facing this district?

Rapid population growth is placing pressure on infrastructure, flood control systems, and public safety resources. At the same time, rising property taxes burden families. District 4 needs strong leadership to manage growth responsibly while protecting taxpayers and maintaining the quality of life our residents expect.

Why are you running for this position?

I’m running because public service should be about people, not politics. As an educator, counselor, father, and community advocate, I’ve seen how policy decisions impact everyday families. I’m running to bring practical, people-centered solutions to Austin and ensure every community in Senate District 4 has a voice.

How will you ensure your constituents can access affordable housing?

Affordable housing requires more than building homes; families must be able to afford to remain in them. I will support responsible development, expand affordable housing opportunities, protect homeowners from being priced out of their communities, and pursue property-tax solutions that provide meaningful relief without undermining public schools.

How will you ensure your constituents receive the appropriate aid after natural disasters?

When disaster strikes, families should not have to fight government bureaucracy while rebuilding their lives. I will push for faster, transparent distribution of disaster assistance, stronger coordination between state and local agencies, and equitable access to recovery resources. Just as importantly, we must invest in prevention and resilient infrastructure before disasters occur.

What are the biggest challenges facing this district?

Senate District 4 faces interconnected challenges: flooding and infrastructure, rising housing and insurance costs, underfunded public schools, healthcare access, property-tax pressures, and protecting good-paying jobs. Our communities are diverse, but families share a common expectation: government should help solve problems, protect opportunity, and improve quality of life.
