Correction - Klein ISD only includes Texas Education Agency reportable cases in its COVID-19 dashboard, meaning only cases where the individual contracted the virus and were on campus. Because of this, after extended breaks, the district's cases reset to zero.

In the first week back in school following winter break, Klein ISD saw drops in the numbers of active COVID-19 cases across all grade levels, while Spring ISD’s case counts are almost the same as they were before the break.

The total numbers of cases for KISD dropped from 58 on the first day of winter break to 36 as of Jan. 7. Elementary and middle schools both have 12 actives cases across campuses.

Spring ISD saw its case numbers go relatively unchanged as students returned to campuses. The largest increase from before the break was in the middle school case count, which grew by four Jan. 7.
