The Grand Trolley Reveal will be held from 10-11 a.m. at the southern edge of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, near The Woodlands Waterway.
The trolleys feature names gathered from community suggestions in a contest earlier this year. The township's six new trolleys will be available for residents to see and board, featuring updated designs and photo opportunities.
Winners of a coloring contest held for children in four age groups will also be announced before the event.
The history
The project began in 2024 when the township slated $2.2 million for six new trolleys.
Officials at the time noted the new trolleys would be propane-powered like the current ones and said the township would seek reimbursement for the new trolleys through Houston-Galveston Area Council Transportation Development Credits.
The Woodlands also recently announced art installations at trolley shelters.
The Town Center Trolley system is a free public transit service in the Town Center area, including Hughes Landing, Market Street, The Woodlands Mall and the Pavilion.
