Lambert said he got his entrepreneurial start in his family business, and later struck out on his own with a window cleaning and pressure-washing business, which was later folded back into the family business. Gutter cleaning followed, and roofing was a natural extension, he said.
“[Roofing] was the next thing—it just goes hand-in-hand while we're up there,” Lambert said.
Lambert opened No Mess Roofing & Gutters in Spring in 2017. The full-service roofing and gutter company designs and installs roofs and rain control systems, along with roof repairs and cleaning.
Lambert said the single most important thing a property owner can do to extend the life of their roof is to rejuvenate it. No Mess Roofing & Gutters added roof rejuvenation services to their service lineup using a product from Greener Shingles.
“It's an excellent product that is completely green,” Lambert said. “It’s a proprietary soy-based oil that replaces oils lost through aging.”
In the rejuvenation process, Lambert said the granules from the shingle are better bonded, which helps the roof prevent damage from hail and wind. He added roof rejuvenation makes the roof look better too, by smothering moss and black algae streaks that make a roof look aged.
“I'd heard of the product itself, and I was interested,” Lambert said. ”I did my due diligence and research, and I saw that this is a viable, excellent alternative to replacing roofs, and because the price [of roofing] was going so high.”
According to Lambert, extending the life of a roof by five to 15 years with rejuvenation has important environmental implications too.
“A shingle takes 300 years to decompose in a landfill,” Lambert said.
