Tom Petrick, former chair-elect of the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce board of directors, was sworn in Jan. 9 as the 2020 board chair for the chamber.
Petrick takes over the position from former board chair Dr. Rodney Watson, who also serves as Spring ISD superintendent.
Chamber President and CEO Bobby Lieb said Watson was a big help to the chamber when Lieb transitioned into the president position in April of 2019.
“I had [Watson’s] guidance and leadership skills to help with [the transition],” Lieb said. “I'd like to personally thank [him] for all the work that [he's] done here in the last half of the year.”
In addition to Petrick taking over as board chair, Crystal Molen, owner and CEO of Molen and Associates, took on the position of board chair-elect.
Additionally, two new members, Carl Little, vice president of operations with Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, and Barbara Schlattman of Barbara Schlattman Interiors were also sworn into the board of directors.
