The Bailey Road project was expected to go bid in June, but it has been pushed back due to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permitting process, according to city officials. The city does not know the new timeline for the project.
The project will widen the roadway from two to four lanes and create an above-grade railroad crossing.
The project is expected to cost $10.8 million and will be funded by the 2019 city of Pearland bond.
