Brazoria County is ahead of schedule on Bailey Road construction. The project entails widening Bailey from CR 90 to FM 1128. Originally scheduled to be completed in 2021, the project is likely going to wrap up by the end of 2020, officials said. Work on the project began in September 2019.

The project costs around $15 million and is funded by the Houston-Galveston Area Council's Transportation Improvement Program and Brazoria County.
