Friendswood City Council will be holding a meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 6. The meeting will not be live-streamed; a video of the meeting will be posted on the city’s YouTube account the next day.

Here are some topics that will be discussed at the meeting:

  • The City Manager will give a report on the city’s COVID-19 status and canceled events as well as other city business.

  • The council will discuss an ordinance that would postpone the May 2 Special Election on the street maintenance sales tax to a later date.

  • There will be a public hearing section for residents to comment on the request to vacate a portion of land on East Heritage Drive.
