Starting this week, Community Health Network is offering free coronavirus testing to asymptomatic first responders, medical providers and individuals with certain chronic illnesses, according to a press release.

Insured patients who meet the criteria for testing will be billed without a copay or a deductible. Uninsured patients that meet the CDC guidelines for testing will not be charged, Community Health Network officials said.

Here are the locations where the testing will be offered.
  • Adoue Family Health Center, 1111. W. Adoue St., Alvin
  • Freeport Community Health Center, 905 N. Gulf Blvd., Freeport
  • Pearland Family Health Center, 2552 E. Broadway St., Ste. 102, Pearland
  • Scarsdale Family Health Center, 10851 Scarsdale Blvd., Ste. 160, Houston
“As we learn new information each day on COVID-19, we understand testing is a key factor in the prevention of community spread, including screening and testing of asymptomatic persons,” said Dr. Yvette M. Poindexter, Community Health Network chief medical officer, in the press release.
